South Florida’s ClimateReady Tech Hub aims to make the U.S. the global leader in technologies that protect communities from extreme weather and flooding, improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

The U.S. Economic Development Administration recognized the Hub in October 2023 as a key center for climate resilience technologies. Miami-Dade County is the lead agency in the effort, joined by Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach counties.

The ClimateReady Tech Hub collaborates with more than 70 partners, spanning sectors such as business, academia, labor and regional community organizations. The Hub’s mission involves working with these organizations to commercialize climate technologies and develop the workforce needed in these industries. More information on the Hub can be found at climatereadytechhub.org.

A video on the ClimateReady Tech Hub is embedded below, followed by videos from our ongoing Climate Tech Minute series on Florida companies developing products that address the causes and consequences of climate change.
