Janna Hautala is an international student from Finland, where environmental consciousness and sustainability are deeply woven into daily life. Hautala used her passion for protecting the planet to create this explainer video for the Florida Atlantic University School of Communication and Multimedia Studies’ video production workshop course.

This two-minute video illustrates how plastic breaks down into tiny pieces known as microplastics, which damage the environment and human health.
