From Sept. 21 to 28, Climate Week NYC (CWNYC) once again brings climate activists from around the world together in New York City. Thanks to Climate Group, leaders from government, business, academia and civil society will meet to share ideas, challenge each other and collaborate on solutions. It is one of the most inspiring gatherings of the year and, for us at VoLo Foundation, it has always been a catalyst for our vision and our work.

It was at that very event where we first found the inspiration for Florida Climate Week, which has now grown into one of the state’s most important platforms for climate dialogue.

That experience showed us the enormous power of bringing together people from different sectors and cultures to drive meaningful change. We are excited to return this year with renewed energy and news to share.

Our focus at CWNYC 2025 will be to amplify the voice of “The Visioneers with Zay Harding,” the new and successful eco-adventure series produced in exclusive partnership between VoLo Foundation and Hearst Media Production Group.

Airing nationwide on CBS as part of the “CBS WKND” educational/informational programming block, and streaming on CBS.com and Pluto TV, “The Visioneers” brings science, innovation and storytelling together in a way that sparks curiosity and action.

Hosted by international explorer Zay Harding, the show takes audiences around the world to meet the remarkable people working on groundbreaking climate solutions. With Zay’s engaging persona, ”The Visioneers” transforms complex science into awesome stories that inspire families to talk about climate change at home, and to see themselves as part of the solution.

We’re especially proud that Zay will join a panel on ”Communicating Climate Change” during CWNYC, where he’ll share insights on how storytelling can move people from awareness to action. But that’s not all. During the week, we will also be announcing more exciting news about ”The Visioneers.” Stay tuned.

VoLo Foundation will also be part of the Latino Media Roundtable on U.S. Climate Action, under the theme “Climate Crossroads: Impacts and Action.” This conversation, conducted in Spanish, will highlight where U.S. climate action stands today, what’s working and where we must do more.

As a Latina, I am deeply honored to speak up on behalf of our communities, who are often on the frontlines of climate impacts yet also leading the way in resilience and innovation.

At VoLo Foundation, we believe in the power of connection between science and people, between communities and leaders, between ideas and action. Climate Week NYC is a strong embodiment of that spirit, and we are grateful to be part of it once again.

Together, let’s continue to power on, inspired by the visionaries who remind us that the future is not something we wait for, it’s something we create.
