Video: What are forever chemicals?

This bite-sized video explores the impact of PFAS, or forever chemicals, on our environment and health

Forever chemicals, or PFAS, are artificially made compounds that don’t break down easily, staying in the environment for generations.

They are used to make everyday products resistant to water, oil and heat, including cosmetics, nonstick pans, waterproof clothing and even pesticides. PFAS can spread through soil, air, water and food, gradually building up in our bodies.
